MAKE THE TICKETS FIT THE TRIP

Plan your Prague day before you book

Choose a starting point. Get a sensible visiting order, the key booking decisions and the things you can leave flexible.

A first day in Prague, from castle to river

Start on the castle side, walk downhill towards Malá Strana, then cross Charles Bridge. Choose a short cruise only if the day still has room.

  1. Morning

    Prague Castle

Book one castle interior visit. Choose independent admission or a guided tour, not both.

  2. Afternoon

Old Town and Charles Bridge walks

Take a flexible independent walk through Malá Strana and over Charles Bridge. The linked guided walk is an alternative to this route, not an extra booking you need.

  3. Optional finish

    Vltava sightseeing cruises

Choose a short river cruise from a pier you can comfortably reach. Keep dinner flexible.

This is a suggested order, not a timed package. Check opening days, meeting points and walking needs before booking.

An indoor-focused Prague day with room for breaks

Build around New Town and an evening performance. You will still need outdoor travel time, so keep the route simple.

  1. Main visit

    Prague National Museum

Explore the museum at your own pace. Check the current exhibitions and allow a proper meal break.

  2. If the weather improves

    Astronomical Clock Tower

Consider Old Town and the tower later, leaving enough time to reach the entrance. This is optional, not another compulsory ticket.

  3. Evening

    Prague black light theatre

Choose a performance and check the venue, start time and sensory guidance. Arrange dinner separately.

A wet-weather plan is not a promise of an entirely covered route. Confirm access and transport for your group.

Two Prague days without crossing the city repeatedly

Give the castle district one day and Old Town another. Reserve your main visits first, then add the smaller moments around them.

  1. Day one

    Prague Castle

Choose the castle interiors in the morning. Leave the afternoon for Malá Strana, the bridge and an unhurried meal.

  2. Day two

    Prague Jewish Quarter

Visit Josefov with historical context. Check religious holidays and opening days before fixing the order of your trip.

  3. One evening

    Prague dinner cruises

Finish with a dinner cruise if the menu and boat suit you. Keep a generous gap before boarding.

If a Jewish heritage site is closed on your planned day, swap the days. A day trip or zoo visit needs additional space.

A Prague family day built around one main outing

Choose fewer bookings and more breaks. The zoo is outside the central sightseeing loop and works best as the main activity.

  1. Main outing

    Prague Zoo

Plan transport to Troja and allow time for food, rests and the route your children enjoy.

  2. Alternative day

    Vltava sightseeing cruises

A short cruise can be a seated change of pace on another city day. Confirm boarding access and child ticket rules.

  3. Weather alternative

    Prague National Museum

Choose a focused museum visit instead of forcing an outdoor plan in poor weather.

These are alternatives across your stay, not three bookings to squeeze into one day. Confirm age rules and access with each provider.

Castle & landmarks

Prague Castle and landmark tickets

Start with the interior, view or story you want. Admission, a short introduction and a guided visit are different products.

River cruises

Prague river cruises: sightseeing or dinner?

Choose the duration, departure pier and meal format before comparing prices. A longer sailing is not automatically the better fit.

Prague evenings

Prague evening shows, dinner and music

Choose between a theatrical meal, visual performance and palace concert. Check each venue and what the ticket includes.

Prague museums, family days and attraction passes

THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Prague Castle tickets vs guided tour: what is included?

Choose independent admission for flexibility, a guided interior visit for interpretation, or an outdoor walk for orientation. These three bookings do different jobs.

One day in Prague: which tickets are worth planning around?
